S,

This is great! Is this a film school? I seem to recall they have a film dept.

Sent your previous announcement to my niece and nephews (photog and musicians who make make music videos of their originals and covers - here's today's music Monday link http://youtu.be/4DFDGP984SE) for this Thursday's presentation

I encouraged them to check it out. I know you'd enjoy each other and I told them about your film making sensibilities so we'll see.

Their names are Jeana, Michael, and Casey in case you hear from them.

Wishing you continued success, DonnaPia/410.360.2110./8a-8p/EST http://www.mesmerizingyoulearntohealyou.com/

I am pleased you found this insightful and passed it on so even more people can read it. I had a chance 10 days ago to see Xu Bing's exhibit at the Virginia Museum of Fine Art in Richmond and see the physical manifestation of his creative mind. There is an interesting video about his process in this show on the VMFA website.

Thanks for sharing this letter, Kristin. Wonderful words of wisdom!

She suggests that one condition of success is a person's ability to face their future with courage. Poignant and right on. And, of course, her line, "Your problems are the source of your artistic creations" resonates for every generation of artist.

This is a link to a letter that Xu Bing (Chinese artist who have lived in the US for many years and received a MacArthur grant) wrote to a recent MFA graduate about the trials and tribulations of a creative life. Geared specifically to fine artists, but relevant to all creative endeavors.
