    Steven,

Congratulations on your next lecture presentation.  You must tell me how it all goes.  And thank you for the info. on the Alumni event.  Sounds interesting.

This continues to be a tough winter for us and we’re about ready to throw in the towel.  Joan fell on the ice a week or so ago, injuring her lower back and tail bone.  She has been in considerable pain ever since but sadly there’s nothing can be done to relieve the pain except medication and time–possibly 4-6 weeks.  And we continue to be without heat almost every other day.  Water got into the oil tank after Christmas and with the cold temperatures, the water freezes in the tank and the boiler shuts down.  But we can only hope that when the warmer weather comes, the problem will go away.

But we try to look at the bright side of things and keep working on the summer projects.

    With affection,

    Sam
