Freedom Dance and Cartoon Lecture – Boston

April 25, 2015

A big THANK YOU! to Dr. György Baffy, Dr. Ildikó Halász, MD, and Dr. Ágnes Virga, MD for hosting Thursday’s screening of Freedom Dance (featuring Mariska Hargitay) and lecture on how cartoon art contributes to a healing process. The event was a jointly presented by the Hungarian Medical Association of America and the Hungarian Society of Massachusetts.

The event was held in Boston at Northeastern University in the conference room of the laboratory of Prof. Dr. Albert-László Barabási, who generously offered this great venue regularly giving home to the Tudósklub of HSM.

Harvard Medical School lecture — the healing power of cartoons

April 24, 2015

I was recently invited to speak at Harvard Medical School on how cartoon art contributes to a healing process. Many thanks to Dr. John Peteet for this honor. His course on Spirituality and Healing in Medicine, and his students, are a true delight. It’s great to see the school’s interest in the role the arts play in the healing process.

Many thanks for a wonderful evening!
